Preparation
Install the filters
Extract the selections into your Selection map
Open PSP
Open the tubes in a map of your choice or open in the program and minimize.
Open the mask in the program and minimize on your workspace
Material
I choose a dark color ( #3ba801) for the foreground and a lighter one ( #ffede8) for the background

The lesson

  1. File - New - New Image (800/600) - transparant checked
  2. Flood fill tool- Fill your image with the foreground color
  3. Layers - New Rasterlayer
  4. Flood fill tool- Fill your image with the background color
  5. The mask has to be present on the workspace of your program
  6. Your own working area has to be actif
    Layers - New Mask layer- From Image- select the mask masque1_michele_claire
  7. Close this mask and continue on your working area
  8. Layers - Merge - Merge group
  9. Effects - Edge effects - Enhance
  10. Layers - New Raster layer
  11. Selection Tool - Custom Selection (You find the tool here)

  12. Flood fill tool- Fill the selection with the background color
  13. Selections - Select None
  14. Effects - Distortion Effects - Polar coördinates
  15. Effects - Distortion Effects - Warp
  16. Effects - Plugins - Vanderlee - UnpluggedX - Defocus

  17. With the Move Tool - place a little bit higher, see example
  18. Layer palette - Blend mode = Screen
  19. Effects - Edge Effects- Enhance

  21. Open the tube Groene Tegels
  22. Edit - Copy - do not close
  23. On your working area -Edit - Paste as New Layer
  24. With the Move Tool: move to the right bottom corner
  25. On the same layer - Selection Tool - Custom Selection with these settings
  26. Effects - Plugins - Mura Meister - Perspective Tiling
  27. Selections - Select None
  28. Layers - New Raster layer
  29. Selection Tool - Custom Selection with these settings
  30. Flood fill tool- Fill the selection with the foreground color

  33. Layers - New Raster layer- Rename this layer Kaders
  34. Selections - Load/Save selection - load selection from disc and choose My_Heart
  35. Return to the tube Groene Tegels
  36. Edit - Copy
  37. Close the tube and return to your working area
  38. Edit - Paste into selection - selection remains
  39. Layers - New Raster layer - rename this layer Kaderlijst (Frame)
  40. Flood Fill Tool - Flood fill the selection with the Foreground color
  41. Selections - Modify - Contract with 4
  42. Edite - Clear or delete on your keyboard
  43. Selections - Select all
  44. Selections - Float - Selections - Defloat
  45. Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin5 Impact - Bevel same setting
  46. Selections - Select None
  47. Open the tube cal_guis_27_08_2008_love_flower_wom
  48. Window - Duplicate (Shift D) - close original and proceed with the copy
  49. Tube layer has to be actif and proceed exactly as described here (important for the selection that will come)
  50. Image - Rezise - 75% - Smart Size
  51. Selections - Load/Save selection - load selection from disc and choose My_Heart2
  52. Edit - Copy
  53. On your working area - Magic Wand Tool with these settings

    click inside the left frame
  54. Layers - New Raster layer
  55. Edit - Paste into selection
  56. Layer palette - Blend mode = Hard Light
  57. Selections - Select None
  58. Return to the layer Kaderlijst (Frame) and click in the right Frame
  59. Layers - New Raster layer
  60. Edit - Paste into selection
  61. Layer palette - Blend mode = Luminance (legacy)
  62. Selections - Select None
  63. Go back to the copy of the tube
  64. Selections - Load/Save selection - load selection from disc and choose My_Heart3
  65. Edit - Copy
  66. On your working area: Return to the layer Kaderlijst (Frame) and click in the Frame in the middle
  67. Layers - New Raster layer
  68. Edit - Paste into selection
  69. Layer palette - Blend mode Screen
  70. Selections - Select None
  71. Activate the top layer and close all layers beneath de layer Kaders
  72. Layers - Merge - Merge visible layers
  73. Open the other layers again
    In some versions of PSP it is necessary to proceed this way. The blend modi change if you simply merge layers down
  74. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow

  75. Back to the copy from the tube cal_guis_27_08_2008_love_flower_wom
  76. With the freehand Selection Tool (Smart Edge) and the Eraser Tool I removed the green parts in the background

  77. Edit - Copy
  78. Close the tube. On your working area
  79. Edit - Paste as New Layer and with the Move Tool move to its place
  80. Layers - Duplicate
  81. Return to the original tube layer
    Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - preset Aquarel
  82. Make top layer actif again
  83. Open the tube ayumi_hamasaki_Jaided_11-16-05
  84. Tube layer has to be actif
  85. Edit - Copy
  86. Close the tube and proceed on your own work
  87. Edit - Paste as New Layer
  88. Image - Mirror
  89. With the Move Tool - move against the left border
  90. Pick Tool

    (K on your Keyboard) - pull up and down the tube and enlarge a bit to respect the proportions
  91. Layer palette - Blend mode Luminance (Legacy)
  92. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
  93. I add two cats to decorate

  94. On each tube - Edit - Copy and close afterwards
  95. On your own work - Edit - Paste as New Layer
    Golden tip: I never work this way. I make the tube actif and draw it out of the layer palette into my work (with the left mouse button pressed down). Quick and easy.
  96. With the Move Tool - move to a nice spot
  97. I changed the blend mode from both cat layers into luminance (legacy)
  98. Layers - Merge - Merge all (flatten)
  99. Image -Add Borders- symmetric checked - 1 pixel with red color #e50101
  100. Image -Add Borders- symmetric checked - 50 pixels with the dark foreground color
  101. With the Magic Wand Tool - select this border (tolerance and feather = 0)
  102. Adjust - Blur - Radial blur
  103. Effects - 3D effects -cutout with these settings - shadow color = black
  104. and repeat
  105. Selections - Select None
  106. Preparations for text - Material palette,close the foreground color
  107. Text tool with these settings

    Text to your choice, I wrote Should I give you my heart
  108. With the Move Tool - move to a nice spot
  109. Layer palette - convert to raster layer
  110. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
  111. Image -Add Borders- symmetric checked - 1 pixel black
  112. Add your watermark
  113. Image - resize (smart size) 800 pixels width
    Or smaller if that suits you better
  114. File - Save as - jpg
