- Selections -extract into map selections
- Pattern - extract into map patterns
- Install the filter
- Open PSP
- Open the tubes and the papers in a map of your choice

Choose a dark color (#9554b6) for the foreground color and a light color for the background (#c5b5d0 )


The lesson

  1. Open the paper stierney_lavenderfields_paper2
  2. Edit - Copy and minimize
  3. File - New - New image - transparent checked - 800/600 pixels
  4. Selections - Select all
  5. Edit - Paste into selection
  6. Selections - deselect all
  7. Layers - New Raster layer
  8. Selections - Load/Save selection- Load selection from disk Romaisa_1

  9. Open paper stierney_lavenderfields_paper1
  10. Edit - Copy - Close
  11. Edit - Paste into selection
  12. Adjust - Blur - Motion Blur
  13. Selections - Modify - Select Selection borders
  14. Flood Fill Tool- Fill with dark foreground color
  15. Effects - Texture Effects - Sculpture
  16. Selections - Load/Save selection - Load selection from disk - load same selection - Romaisa_1

  18. Selections - Load/Save selection- Load selection from disk Romaisa_2
  19. Make bottom layer actif
    Layer palette - Promote selection to layer
  20. Layer palette - Arrange - Bring to front
  21. Effects - Texture effects- Soft plastic - dark foreground color
  22. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
  23. Layer palette - Blend Mode = Multiply
    leave the selection as it is
  24. Layers - New Raster layer
  25. Open the tube Alies 258-vrouwen-10062010

    Selections - Load/Save selection- Load selection from disk Romaisa_3
  26. Edit - Copy - do not close
  27. On your own work- Edit - Copy into selection
  28. Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen
  29. Layer palette - Blend Mode = Overlay - Opacity = 39
  30. Selections - deselect all
    Result
  31. Layers - Duplicate
  32. Image - Mirror
  33. Move Tool - drag down into the right frame
  34. Layer palette - Opacity 84 - Blend Mode Overlay

  35. Activate the tube Alies 258-vrouwen-10062010 again
  36. Selection Romaisa_3 is still actif
  37. Edit - Copy
  38. Selections - deselect all
    Minimize but do not close
  39. On your work : Edit - Paste as new layer
  40. Move Tool - see print screen
  41. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow - same settings
  42. Material palette: close foreground color - background color = white
  43. Activate Text tool with these settings
  44. Write your text or mine
    On such a night
    You crossed my mind
  45. Klick Apply
  46. Move to its place on the top right
  47. Layer palette - Convert to raster layer
  48. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
  49. Layers - Merge - Merge visible
  50. Effects - Geometric effects - Perspective Horizontal - 26 Transparant
  51. Magic Wand Tool: Select the two transparent parts

  52. Open paper scrapidea-pap2
  53. Edit - Copy and minimize
  54. On your work : Edit - Paste into selection
  55. Layer Palette - Promote selection to layer
  56. Open stierney_lavenderfields_paper4
  57. Edit - Copy - Close
  58. Edit - Paste into selection
  59. Layer palette Blend Mode = Soft Light
  60. Effects - Edge effects- Enhance
  61. Selections - deselect all
  62. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
  63. Repeat with Vertical and horizontal = -4

    Image - Add Borders - Symmetric NOT checked - light color #c5b5d0
  65. Magic Wand Tool - Selec the border - same settings

  67. Selections - deselect all
  68. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric not checked - - dark foreground color
  69. Magic Wand Tool - Select this border

  72. Edit - Paste into selection
    The selection is still active
